Antique glass is created by using rollers on glass that is so hot, it's right at the melting point, to create an aging effect as though the glass had lost clarity and had become slightly pitted over time.

Antique glass in mirrors is created by dropping acid onto a glass mirror which creates small black spots where the acid ate through the glass and into the silver backing of the mirror. Antique glass comes in 16 primary designs such as Moonscape, Summer Cloud and Hollywood.

We recommend antique glass primarily for cabinet doors because the glass is very thin and too fragile for pretty much anything else.
